The person is bigger than the work they produce.
The person
behind the work
I have spent much of my career studying what happens when people and work meet.
But my work is only one expression of who I am.
Who I am
I'm deeply curious about people.
I notice what others overlook. I ask questions because I want to understand what's underneath what I can see. I make complicated things easier to understand. I bring people together. I create spaces where people can see themselves—and sometimes their work—differently.
That curiosity has taken me through nearly two decades of work in human resources, employee and labor relations, leadership, entrepreneurship, speaking, writing, and community building.
I've led people strategy inside major organizations and sat close to some of the most complicated moments that happen between employers and employees. I've seen what happens when leaders get people decisions right. I've also seen what happens when organizations become so focused on the work that they forget the person doing it.
What I stand on
Work can express who you are without defining who you are.
A title can communicate authority. It cannot create influence.
Performance and humanity can coexist.
Information about a person is not the person.
Technology can support the decision without becoming the entirety of the decision.
The task may be transactional. The best work is relational.
Every workplace decision eventually becomes someone's human experience.

These tell you something about what I've done.
They still don't tell you everything about who I am.
I am untitled
Untitled doesn't mean titleless.
It means I can carry a title without asking it to carry my identity.
My work matters deeply to me. So do the things I've built, the rooms I've led, the opportunities I've earned, and the titles I've carried.
They are expressions of me.
They are not definitions of me.
No title is large enough to contain the whole of who any of us are.
